ORDERING PROCESS IN A NUTSHELL

We’re your transparent source for custom barnwood furniture!

Q:  I feel like I've seen your items before, where else have I seen your products?

A: Gypsy Farmhouse has been open for over 20 years, and has been featured in prominent design Publications such as Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, and Design New Jersey. We are also in many well known restaurants, hotels, retail stores, and have been featured in numerous films and on TV, such as in multiple features on HGTV.

Q: I saw a piece of furniture that I like, can you make it?

A: For over two decades Gypsy Farmhouse has created excellent wooden furniture crafted from reclaimed 1800’s barnwood. We have access to over 6 fantastic Amish and Mennonite craftsmen who can create just about anything. If you rip a picture from your favorite magazine, we will most likely be able to emulate your desired piece of furniture. Not only do we make complete pieces, we also make pieces partially -  for example we can create a kitchen island base so you can supply your own top to match your existing countertops. We also have the ability to create custom countertops, such as the many bar tops we installed at multiple restaurants.

Q: I have never ordered a custom piece of furniture, how do I go about this process?

A: We specialize in easing the design process for you! Our strength is in providing product education for our customers during the entire ordering process. We enjoy offering the selections of custom designs, measurements, colors, doors, drawers -  and even coach you through your choice of the dings, dents and gouges made by real horse hooves that create the wonderful character of our barn wood!

Q: I still don’t understand the difference between a Farm Table and a Trestle Table:

A: Farm Tables have four legs that come with our tables at no extra price. Legs can be either tapered barn beam legs or straight legs. Turn legs are available at an extra charge.

A: Trestle Tables do not have four legs, rather are supported by different types of  beautiful under structures, much like the designs shown on our website and in store.

Q: What are your lead order times?

A: The times are approximately 6 to 10 weeks. It is the customer’s responsibility to review the order to ensure accuracy of the items ordered, and the content. Changes to the orders cannot be made after the order has been placed with Gypsy Farmhouse. We ask for a 50% deposit as a requirement on all custom orders and the deposits are nonrefundable. The balance is due 7 days prior to the ordered items leaving the furniture makers’ facilities. All sales are final.

Q: What type of payments does Gypsy Farmhouse receive?

A: We accept payments  for special orders in cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Venmo, Apple Pay or check. We kindly ask for 50% as a preliminary payment upon placing your order. The remaining 50% is paid one week prior to delivery.

Q: Does Gypsy Farmhouse provide shipping?

A: We have a number of moving services with which we are affiliated. Primarily we have local movers throughout the Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania state areas. Depending on the time of the year, we also have access to national shippers.

Q: What guidance can you give us on the day of our custom furniture delivery?

A: All of the items are delivered directly to the Gypsy Farmhouse store. If you are not using our affiliated mover, you are welcome to hire your own movers or pick up the item yourself using your own vehicle. Please bring rope, blankets or garbage bags to cover and secure your specialty items. Also please have your strong friends join you for loading the item into your vehicle. Custom orders are delivered directly from Lancaster County, and we require furniture orders to be picked up on the agreed date, as we have no storage area.

Q: What is the name and contact information of your recommended mover?

A: Mr. Richard Chavez, Owner
